Configuring FTP applications

For using FTP please use the following settings:

• Username and password: the main FTP account username and password are the same as for the cPanel
• Hostname: your_domain.com
• Port: 21

Alternative FTP host: your_server_id.nano.lv

FTP behind a Firewall

In case of being behind a firewall (incoming port 22 is closed), please use a FTP in Passive mode.

Multithreaded FTP connections

Multithreaded FTP connections are not recommended, as there won't be any speed improvements, but you may face connection difficulties as total number of FTP connections for one user is limited by 2.

Secure SFTP

SFTP (SecureFTP) uses port 22, and encrypts all data during it's transfer from your computer to the server and vice versa, to prevent it's interception and theft. For a smooth and easy work with SFTP, it's strongly recommended to use «WinSCP» application.

Authorization data for the SFTP are the same as for your cPanel main account.

Please note, that it's not possible to use FTP users to access server via SFTP
